At Northwynd Corgis, we believe a well-raised puppy starts long before they come home. Every puppy follows a structured development program built around health, confidence, and connection.
Our program includes:
AKC registered parents
Health-tested parents (Embark or Orivet)
Minimum two vaccinations
Minimum two deworming's
Early neurological stimulation
Extensive socialization
Crate training foundation
House training foundation
Raised with children, livestock, and cats
Microchipped
Puppies receive early neurological stimulation from birth and are introduced to litterbox and crate training starting at 5 weeks of age. This gives them a strong foundation for house training, comfort with everyday handling and grooming, and helps them transition smoothly into your home.
Every Northwynd puppy comes with a comprehensive lifetime health and temperament guarantee. We stand behind our breeding program and are committed to producing healthy, sound puppies. Full details are provided in your purchase contract.
All our dogs are comprehensively health tested through Embark or Orivet for breed-specific conditions along with cardiac and patella evaluations to support the long-term health of our Corgis. We breed only sound, healthy dogs to give your puppy the best genetic foundation.
Each panel draws from 420+ scientifically validated tests and counting for disease risk and trait predispositions, selected to match your breed’s known priorities and deliver reliable, actionable results. Please be aware that although breeders state 420+ only 9 actually apply to the corgi breed (unless it's a mixed breed)

All puppies are examined by our veterinarian and leave with a current health certificate. Each puppy receives at least two vaccinations, routine deworming, and is microchipped prior to going home.
We choose to chip our puppies ourselves rather than leaving it to a future veterinarian because if your puppy is ever lost or stolen, they can be traced back to us as the breeder. Unlike veterinarians, who cannot take dogs, we are always able to take our dogs back, giving you peace of mind that your puppy will never end up stuck in a shelter without someone to claim them.
Our Corgis are fed Nutri Source and supplemented with fresh proteins including eggs, chicken, rabbit, and duck to support overall health and well-being.
Each puppy goes home with:

Puppy safety is always our first priority. Contact us to discuss safe, reliable options for getting your Corgi home-locally or nationwide.
We completely understand the excitement of knowing your new puppy is here and wanting to meet them as soon as possible, but we do not allow visits before puppies are ready to go home, and we want to explain why.
Having strangers visit is extremely stressful for a nursing mother. That stress directly impacts her ability to care for her litter, her eating habits, and even her milk production. She is working hard around the clock and she deserves a calm, protected environment to do that.
It's also about disease. Young puppies have developing immune systems, and illness can be unknowingly carried in on hands, shoes, and clothing without anyone realizing it. Entire litters can be lost to parvovirus within 48 hours of exposure. We simply cannot take that risk, not with your puppy and not with the rest of the litter.
We know some breeders allow early visits and we understand why buyers appreciate that. But early visits are more about making a sale than protecting a puppy. We are not just here to sell you a puppy, we are here to support you for the lifetime of your dog. That commitment starts the moment those puppies are born.
In the meantime, we keep our Facebook and Instagram updated regularly with photos and videos so you can watch your puppy grow from day one. Once a deposit is placed, we will do our best to send you personal updates along the way. We promise it will be worth the wait!
No, we will not hold a puppy without a deposit, and here is why. Purchasing a puppy is a serious commitment and a deposit is how we know you are serious too. We have learned this lesson the hard way, we have held puppies for people who seemed certain, only to have them change their mind at the last minute while turning away families who were genuinely ready and committed. That is not fair to the puppy or to the families who were serious from the start.
A deposit is fully applied toward your purchase price and simply secures your puppy or your spot on our waiting list. It is our mutual commitment to each other that this is the right match.
If you are not quite ready to place a deposit but are interested in a future litter, we are happy to stay in touch and notify you when puppies become available.
Yes! Our waiting list gives you first pick of upcoming litters before puppies are made available to the public. A deposit secures your spot and is applied toward your purchase price. Waiting list spots are filled in the order deposits are received.
When a new litter is born we notify our waiting list first, giving you 24 hours to respond before puppies are offered publicly. If a litter does not have what you are looking for, your deposit rolls over to the next litter and your spot is maintained.
To join our waiting list, fill out our puppy application and we will be in touch.
Our puppies go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age. This is the optimal window for bonding with their new family while still having had enough time with mom and their littermates to develop proper social skills and confidence.
Occasionally a puppy we are evaluating for our own program may become available at an older age, which can actually be wonderful for a busy family as older puppies often have a head start on crate and house training.
